Board of Elections to meet

TROY — The Miami County Board of Elections will hold its regular meeting at 5 p.m., Jan. 26, on the first floor of the Miami County Courthouse, located at 215 W. Main St. in Troy.

Items in the agenda include schools as polling locations, office space discussion, precinct election officials vaccination, precinct name changes, redistricting update, campaign finance audits, and election preparation.

Southview Neighborhood Association to meet

PIQUA — The Southview Neighborhood Association in Piqua will have a general meeting on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Mote Park building. The speaker for the evening will be newly elected mayor for the city of Piqua, Tom Fogt. He will be speaking and taking questions about the future priorities for Piqua and how it might affect the neighborhoods. There will also be the election of Southview Association officers for 2022 and a discussion about spring projects. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend.

Library hosting teddy bear party

WEST MILTON — On Thursday, Jan. 27 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., children are invited to bring their own beloved teddy bear and join Miss Wendy to read several teddy bear themed books at the Milton-Union Public Library. The history of the teddy bear will be discussed as well as fun activities, a craft, and light refreshments. A door prize will be given. This event is for ages K-5th and sign up is required.
