Bradford Board of Education to meet

BRADFORD — The Bradford Exempted Village School District Board of Education will meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, located at 760 Railroad Ave. in Bradford in room 404. The public is invited to join the meeting in person or watch virtually using the information on the district website at www.bradford.k12.oh.us.

Any person wishing to address the Board of Education must contact the superintendent no later than 1 p.m. on the Tuesday of the board meeting.

Troy Historical Society to meet

TROY — The Troy Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, 301 W. Main Street, Troy. The meeting will feature a program by local historian Rex Maggert titled, “The Daily Life of a Civil War Soldier.” Information in Maggert’s talk is taken from the diaries of Civil War soldiers, Charles Smith of the 32nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry and Chauncey Grosvenor of the 147th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. This meeting is free and open to the public.

YMCA offers Spring Break Camp

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA is offering Spring Break Camp at both Piqua and Robinson branches. Piqua-only camp is March 24 and March 25. Robinson-only camp is April 13 and April 14. Piqua and Robinson camp is April 15.

Arrival will start around 8:45 a.m. Followed by, swimming, lunch, and the activity/trip of the day. Pick-up will be at 4 p.m.

This program is for 1-6 grade and is $25 for members and $32 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is encouraged. Register at the Robinson Branch or over the phone at 440-9622, or at the Piqua Branch or over the phone at 773-9622.
