Fish Fries at St. Mary Church

PIQUA — Lenten fish fries at St. Mary Church in Piqua continue on Friday, April 1, from 5-7 p.m. Meals will be served in the cafeteria at Piqua Catholic for dine-in or carry out. There will also be a drive-thru to purchase meals. Those wanting drive-thru should enter the parking lot at the corner of Greene and Franklin Street for service.

Drive-thru meals will have a set menu: fried fish, macaroni and cheese along with cole slaw and a dinner roll. Dine-in or carry out meals will feature baked or fried fish, French fries or macaroni and cheese, cole slaw or applesauce and a dinner roll.

Desserts are also available in the school cafeteria.

Adult meals will be $10, seniors and carry-out will be $9 and children 12 and under will be $8.

Serving could change to drive-thru only due to health restrictions.

Troy BOE to meet

TROY — The Troy Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 4 in the Troy Board of Education office.

The board will first meet for the approval of the reconfiguration of Forest and Kyle elementary schools. The board will then move into executive session to discuss personnel matters.

Pleasant Hill VFW offering dinners

PLEASANT HILL — The Pleasant Hill VFW 6557 will offer a dinner on the following weekends for dine in or carry out:

• On Friday, April 1, they will offer a chicken fry, which will include three pieces of chicken, french fries, and macaroni salad. The cost is $7-$8, and the dinner will be offered from 6-7:30 p.m.

• On Saturday, April 2, they will offer tenderloin sandwiches. Choose from fried or grilled pork tenderloin sandwich with homemade french fries for $8 from 5-7 p.m.

• On Saturday, April 9, they will hold a fish fry. The meal will include three pieces of fish with french fries, baked beans, and apple sauce for $8 from 5-7 p.m.

• On Saturday, April 16, they will have a pork chop dinner, which will include marinated pork chop with baked potato and vegtable for $10 from 5-7 p.m. Non-marinated will also be available.

• On Saturday, April 23, they will offer t-bone steak with baked potato, salad, and a roll for $15 from 5-7 p.m.

• On Friday, April 29, they will offer a seafood dinner, which will include a choice of fish for $8, 21 pieces of shrimp for $9, or froglegs for $15 with french fries and cole slaw from 6-7:30 p.m.

• On Saturday, April 30, they will have a prime rib dinner with steak fries and caesar salad for $17 from 5-7 p.m.
