TROY – On Tuesday, March 28, the Miami County Commissioners authorized preliminary legislation for the replacement of the Peterson Road Bridge.
The preliminary legislation is with the Ohio Department of Transportation and allows for the commission to enter into contracts as necessary.
According to Paul Huelskamp, Miami County Engineer, the total cost of the project is estimated to be $5.7 million with another $500,000 for the engineering contract, which has already been done. $5 million of the project will be paid for utilizing federal funds with the remaining costs utilizing county road/bridge funds.
Then, the commissioners participated in a bid opening for the Knouff Road Bridge where one bid was opened. The bid was from ProFlex Construction Supplies LLC from Cincinnati with a bid amount of $87,777.
