Feb. 4

AGENCY ASSIST: Deputies were dispatched to a squad call for a male not breathing on the 4700 block of West State Route 571 in West Milton at 9:16 a.m. Male was transported to Miami Valley North.

UNRULY JUVENILE: A deputy responded to the 6100 block of Peters Road in Monroe Township at 12:10 p.m. in regard to an unruly juvenile complaint.

UNRULY JUVENILE: A deputy was dispatched to the 3300 block of Redbud Drive in Monroe Township at 1:10 p.m. on an unruly juvenile complaint. The one-year-old female was warned for being an unruly juvenile.

SUSPICIOUS: Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Edward Drive on a report of a juvenile threatening to shoot his mother at 7 p.m. After investigating the matter, this was determined to be a telephone prank by unknown juveniles. This matter is pending.

CITIZEN ASSIST: A deputy responded to an address on Piqua-Lockington Road in Springreek Township in reference to an altercation at 9:05 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was found that no crime had been committed. Both parties were advised of their options.

TRAFFIC: A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on North County Road 25A near Farrington Road at 9:54 p.m. Upon further investigation, the driver was found to be under suspension and suspected drugs were seized from the vehicle. The driver was issued a citation, and the drugs were entered into evidence to be sent to the crime lab.

Feb. 5

SUSPICIOUS: Deputies responded to the 100 block of West Hill Street in Pleasant Hill in reference to a suspicious complaint at 12:17 a.m. The homeowner had gotten an alert from his security system and had observed a female approaching the rear door of his residence on his surveillance camera.

INFORMATION REPORT: Missing juvenile was located walking in the roadway in the area of North Church Street and West Monument Street in Pleasant Hill at 8:45 a.m. The juvenile appeared to be suffering from possible hypothermia and was transported by squad to the hospital.

DRUG OFFENSE: While a deputy was assisting a motorist in the area of East State Route 571 and South State Route 202 in Bethel Township, the driver of the vehicle admitted to possessing a controlled substance inside the vehicle. She was cited with possession of marijuana, a minor misdemeanor.

FRAUD: A deputy was dispatched to a fraud complaint in reference an unknown subject opening a bank account in the complainant’s name. The case is currently pending further investigation.

DISTURBANCE: A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance on the 2500 block of West Landman Mill Road at 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, both parties had separated and made amends. Nothing physical occurred. No charges were filed.

AGENCY ASSIST: A deputy assisted Troy Police with having K9 Vello conduct a free air sniff around a vehicle in the area of McKaig Avenue and Crescent Drive in Troy at 4:30 p.m. The deputy walked K9 Vello around the vehicle, and the canine alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics twice at the driver door. The deputy informed the Troy officer of the positive alert. Upon Troy Police searching the vehicle, he located multiple containers of hashish.

TRAFFIC: A deputy stopped a Honda for a lighted lights violation in the area of East Ash Street and Scott Drive in Piqua at 6:28 p.m. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited.

CIVIL DISPUTE: A deputy responded to a civil dispute on the 600 block of Kitrina Avenue in Monroe Township at 7:07 p.m. The reporting party asked for the situation to be documented. This case is closed.

CIVIL DISPUTE: A deputy responded to a civil dispute on the 1800 block of Carly Court in Springcreek Township at 11:08 p.m. Upon investigation, the reporting party only wanted to have the incident reported.

Feb. 6

ASSAULT: A deputy responded to the Miami County Jail in reference to an assault complaint. Two male inmates were reported to have been engaged in a physical altercation.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of an accident with injury on the 10000 block of West State Route 571 in Union Township at 9:55 a.m.

AGENCY ASSIST: A deputy responded to the area of the 10000 block of North County Road 25A in Springcreek Township on a Piqua call regarding a pursuit of a vehicle at 4:46 p.m. After an investigation, the deputy was able to locate the vehicle and assisted Piqua Police.

BURGLARY: A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of East Smithfield Street in Bradford on a possible burglary in progress at 4:50 p.m. The caller reported seeing a vehicle not belonging to the renter of the property parked behind the trailer. A charge of burglary is pending a discussion with the prosecutor.

TRESPASSING: A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Forest Hill Road in Concord Township in reference to a trespassing complaint at 6 p.m. The reporting party stated belongings were left on the porch of his vacant home, and he requested extra checks by deputies.

DRUG OFFENSE: Deputies were dispatched to a drug related incident on the 4200 block of West State Route 41 in Concord Township at 10 p.m. After speaking with the individuals involved, evidence was seized and the case is currently pending further investigation.

THEFT: Deputy responded in reference to a theft complaint at Emery Communications on Gibson Drive in Tipp City at 10:37 p.m. Tools had been stolen from a commercial van, which had been parked outside. Investigation pending.

Feb. 7

CITIZEN ASSIST: Deputy responded to the 4300 block of North State Route 48 in reference to an assist citizen call at 4:16 a.m. After an investigation, the male was transported Troy-Kettering Hospital.
