Feb. 4

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A caller stated a dog was barking outside on the 200 block of East Main Street at 6:30 a.m. Officers drove through the area and did not hear a violation.

THEFT: A caller reported his wallet being stolen on the 400 block of Gordon Street at 10:22 a.m.

TRAFFIC: Driver cited for driving under suspension in the area of East Ash Street and Looney Road at 11:54 a.m.

CITIZEN ASSIST: An officer was dispatched to an assist motorist call because a vehicle was stuck in the snow on an unplowed road in the area of West Grant Street and South Downing Street at 12:29 p.m. Another citizen used a truck to pull the vehicle out of the roadway.

THEFT: Family Dollar on High Street advised a female was attempting to leave the store with a cart full of property until employees confronted her at 12:42 p.m. The female was able to leave the store with a set of speakers on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: There was a report of a pitbull at large in the 500 block of Spring Street at 12:50 p.m. Dog was located and found to have exited an open door. Information passed to the Miami County Animal Shelter.

SUSPICIOUS: Employees claimed a resident was doing drugs at a healthcare facility on the 200 block of Kienle Drive at 1:39 p.m.

WARRANT: Male arrested on an out-of-county arrest warrant. He was transported for a car-to-car exchange where he was transferred to the custody of Butler Township Police Department on their warrant.

ASSIST MOTORIST: A vehicle was stuck in the intersection in the area of West High Street and North Sunset Drive at 3:26 p.m. The driver had a friend come tow the vehicle.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Lawn of back yard and city of Piqua “Do Not Enter” sign damaged overnight at the rear of the complainant’s property on the 700 block of Park Avenue at 3:22 p.m.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officers dispatched on report of a disturbance between two neighbors over shoveling snow on the 500 block of West Ash Street at 3:57 p.m.

ASSIST SQUAD: Officer dispatched to an alleged overdose at a healthcare facility on the 200 block of Kienle Drive at 4:09 p.m. Officer responded and found the male talking with EMS. This male denied using any drugs and denied EMS treatment. No drugs or paraphernalia located. No police action taken.

TRAFFIC: Driver was stopped for no headlights or taillights in the area of East Ash Street and Scott Drive at 6:52 p.m. The driver was released with a verbal warning after turning them on.

TRAFFIC: Driver was issued a citation for driving under suspension on the 1200 block of East Ash Street at 6:58 p.m.

TRAFFIC: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a lighted lights violation on the 1300 block of East Ash Street at 6:58 p.m. The driver was given a warning for the violation.

TRAFFIC: Driver was stopped for a red light violation and released with a verbal warning at Wayne and Wood streets at 8:55 p.m.

TRAFFIC: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation on the 800 block of West High Street at 9:02 p.m. The driver was given a warning for the violation.

TRAFFIC: Adult male issued a warning for an equipment violation on the 8600 block of North County Road 25A at 9:08 p.m.

TRAFFIC: A driver was cited for driving under suspension on the 300 block of Harrison Street at 9:41 p.m.

ASSIST MOTORIST: Officer helped push out a vehicle that was stuck in the snow on the 500 block of Wood Street at 10:48 p.m.

TRESPASSING: Subject believed an old neighbor trespassed on their property on the 400 block of First Street at 11:27 p.m.

Feb. 5

LOUD MUSIC: An officer responded to a residence for a report of loud music on the 900 block of Caldwell Street at 12:52 a.m. A violation was observed upon arrival, and the resident was warned for the violation.

SUSPICIOUS: An officer located a female sleeping in a vehicle on Eagles Lake Drive at 1:15 a.m. The vehicle was found to be parked at the female’s residence, and she was able to get inside for the night.
