April 17

TRESPASSING: A deputy responded to the 6900 block of South State Route 201 in Bethel Township in reference to a trespassing complaint at 7:20 p.m. After further investigation, all parties involved agreed to cease all contact with one another and four females were trespassed from the property. This case is closed.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A deputy was dispatched to the area of South County Road 25A and Dye Mill Road in Concord Township on a report of a dog running loose in the roadway at 7:30 p.m. After further investigation, the listed individual handed over the dog with no tags where it was transported to the Miami County Animal Shelter and placed into the law enforcement cage with out further issue. Animal Shelter form was filled out, and information report on the incident was completed. This case is closed.

WARRANT: A deputy was dispatched on an information card to the 1700 block of Washington Bend Court in Concord Township at 8:18 p.m. After further investigation, one adult male was taken into custody on a Miami County warrant for interference with custody.

UNRULY JUVENILE: There was an unruly juvenile complaint on Looney Road in Springcreek Township at 8:22 p.m.

April 18

ACCIDENT: Deputies dispatched to a traffic accident in reference to a White Dodge Truck striking a Silver Honda SUV in the rear end while slowing or stopped in traffic. The Honda appeared to have minimal damage to the rear bumper, and the two drivers elected to exchange insurance information with one another. It was reported in the area of State Route 718 and Wilson Road in Concord Township at 7:33 a.m.

THEFT: Deputy dispatched to a theft complaint at a local business on the 6800 block of North State Route 48 in Newberry Township in reference two company vehicles broken into and several items stolen.

THEFT: A deputy spoke to a female in regard to a theft complaint on the 1400 block of South Alcony Conover Road in Troy. She requested the incident documented, due to previous thefts from the same property.

THEFT: Deputy dispatched to a theft of services complaint in reference someone stealing electric at a residence from the electric company on the 2800 block of West State Route 571 in Monroe Township. The case is currently pending further investigation.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of a traffic accident with no injuries on the 4400 block of State Route 589 in Lost Creek Township at 11 a.m.

April 19

UNRULY: There was an unruly juvenile complaint on Fourth Street in Concord Township at 3:44 a.m.

INVESTIGATION: Deputies responded to the 7400 block of Peters Road in Monroe Township in reference to a semi possibly stuck in a yard at 2:36 p.m. The driver advised a tow truck was in route. No charges were filed.

RECKLESS OPERATION: A deputy responded to Troy City Schools Bus Garage in regard to a vehicle running the school bus red lights on Swailes Road at Seneca Drive. After investigation, one adult female was cited. This case is closed.

WARRANT: Deputies responded to the 5500 block of Studebaker Road in Bethel Township to serve a felony warrant on Edward T. Haire, 80, of Tipp City, at 4:37 p.m. Once the warrant was served, Haire was transported to the Miami County jail, where his custody was handed over to Corrections Officers.

RECKLESS OPERATION: A deputy responded to the Troy City School Bus Garage in regard to a vehicle running a school bus red light at the intersection of Peters Road and Pine Street. This case is pending further investigation.

CIVIL MATTER: A deputy responded to the 1000 block of Maple Street in Piqua to serve a Civil Protection Order.

FRAUD: A resident in Monroe Township called dispatch to report her credit card number was stolen and used for an online purchase, which was delivered to an address in the state of New York. Subsequently, the fraud division of the credit card company was notified, and she was told she needed a police report for reimbursement to take place.

ASSAULT: A deputy responded to Upper Valley Medical Center in reference to a male throwing a white powder like substance on hospital staff. The male was found to have two active Miami County warrants. Several items containing a white powder like substance on them were seized and placed into evidence. The male was issued a summons on both the warrants. This case is pending.
