TIPP CITY — It didn’t take Troy baseball long to bounce back from a loss to Tecumseh Sunday night.

The Trojans handed Tippecanoe its first loss of the season Monday night 11-9.

Troy is now 10-6 overall and 10-3 in the MVL. Tippecanoe is 14-1 overall and 11-1 in the MVL and shares the lead with Butler, who is 12-1.

Troy scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to go up 11-6 and held on for the win.

For Troy, Zach Prouty was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs, while Caleb Fogarty was 2-for-4.

Eli Smith was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Trayce Mercer had two RBIs.

Connor Hutchinson was 3-for-4 and Baylee Shepherd was 2-for-4 with a double.

For Tippecanoe, Brayden Bottles had two RBIs and Jonny Baileys was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Matt Salmon was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Troy Taylor was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Jacob Bowerman was 2-for-4.

Piqua holds

on for win

PIQUA — The Piqua baseball team opened a big lead early and held on for a 10-8 victory over Greenville to even its record at 9-9.

Brady Ouhl was 2-for-4 with three runs scored.

Zane Pratt was 2-for-4 and Blane Ouhl had a double.

Brayden Offenbacher and Brady Ouhl combined on a six-hitter, striking out nine and walking nine.

East gets

LEWISBURG — The Miami East baseball team improved to 12-1 with a 12-3 win at Tri-County North Monday in CCC action.

Gage Butz had a double and two RBIs and Jonah Ellis was 2-for-4 with a double.

Conor Apple had two RBIs and Jakob Demmitt was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Butz and Ethan Howell combined on a four-hitter, striking out six and walking three.

Milton tops

Madison 7-6

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union baseball team opened a 7-2 lead and held on for a 7-6 win over Middletown Madison in SWBL action Monday.

Drew Lambert scored three runs and Ben Schommer was 2-for-3.

Nathan Morter Jr. was 2-for-4, Peyton Nichols was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Connor Fijalkowski ws 2-for-4 with a double.

Nichols and Micah Russell combined on an eight-hitter, striking out eight and walking three.

to Greenville

PIQUA — The Piqua softball team had a five-game winning streak snapped with a 16-4 loss to Greenville MondayiBrn MVL play.

East pounds

North 15-2

LEWISBURG — Kyleigh Kirby had a big night as the Miami East softball team pounded Tri-County North 15-2 in CCC action.

She was 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, triple and four RBIs and pitched a four-hitter, striking out five and walking two.

Kalli Teeters was 2-for-5 with three runs scored and Kiera Kirby was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Reagan Howell was 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs and Kayly Fetters was 2-for-3 with a double.

Jadyn Bair had a triple and two RBIs.

Bradford blanks

Wapakoneta

WAPAKONETA — The Bradford softball team blanked Wapakoneta 7-0 Monday.

Skipp Miller pitched a one-hitter, striking our 14 and walking one.

Austy Miller was 2-for-3 with a triple and Buzz Brewer was 3-for-3 with a triple.

Izzy Hamilton was 3-for-3 and Shay Swick had a double.

SIDNEY — The Bethel softball team had a big night at the plate in a 16-2 win at Fairlawn.

Lily Williams was 2-for-2 with a double, home run, four runs scored and three RBIs and Paige Kearns was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Liv Reittinger was 2-for-4 with a triple and five RBIs, Morgan Rodgers was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and a double and Sam Wiley had two RBIs.

Alyson Bird pitched a three-hitter, striking out 10 and walking one.

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union softball team got a 17-7 win over Middletown Madison in SWBL action Monday.

Raegan Fulton was 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs and Madison Jones was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Carley Zimmer was 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs and Taylor Falb was 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Jones and Zimmer combined on an eight-hitter, striking out seven and walking two.
