UNION TOWNSHIP — There were no injuries reported following a crash that occurred on Kessler-Frederick Road on Wednesday.
A passing motorist reported a single vehicle crashed upside down in a creek, just off Monroe-Concord Road around 7:50 a.m.
First responders from Ludlow Falls and Union Township could not find a driver in the vehicle and conducted a search in and around the area of the crash. Deputies from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office who were investigating the crash requested a drone be brought to the scene to search with its thermal camera.
Drone pilot, Deputy Richard Manns, found no heat signatures and was concluding the search when the alleged driver in the crash arrived on the scene and reported to deputies that he had gone to find a tow for his vehicle. He was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by Miami County Sheriff’s deputies.
