COVINGTON — Retta Dell (Powell) Thomas, age 76 of Covington, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at SpringMeade.

Retta was born in Piqua on April 13, 1944 to the (late) Robert E. & Virginia (Todd) Powell; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1962; a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren; worked for Miami Metropolitan Housing Authority as an Inspector; worked for the Covington Police Department as a Dispatcher; a previous volunteer for the Covington Rescue Squad; volunteered at the Covington Outreach Association; member of the Lighthouse Society and she loved to travel to see them; enjoyed bicycling; loved to flip houses; and loved “chasing her grandkids” watching them play sports.

Preceded in death by her parents; and brother, David A. Powell. Retta is survived by her four daughters, Angie Kotonias of Bethesda, MD, Wendy Westfall (Loren) of Troy, Pam Miller (Dan) of Covington, Billie Weyant of Covington; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hedges (Jason) of Australia, Nick Kotonias (Ashlyn) of Texas, Samantha Westfall & Frank Bolen of Dayton, Sarah May (Jason) of Troy, Andrew Scherer of Piqua, Josh Miller (Briana) of Piqua, Adam Miller of Covington; seven great-grandchildren, Brooke, Noah, & Jack Hedges of Australia, Kaitlynn, Crystal, & Adeline Miller of Piqua, Ethan May of Troy; two sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn Helman of Covington, Karen & Dane Crowell of Piqua; grandpets, Yannick, Pickett, Cedar, Adam Joseph, & Garber; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service 1:00 PM Thursday at the Stillwater Community Church, Covington with Pastors Jon Dillon and Mike Yingst officiating. Visitation 11:00 AM Thursday until time of service at the church. Interment of cremains at Greenville Creek Cemetery, Bradford.
