PIQUA — The Piqua girls basketball team picked up a home win in non-conference action Monday night with a 31-23 win over Northmont.

Piqua improved to 3-18 with the win and will host Fairborn on Wednesday.

The Indians led 7-2, 11-6 and 18-14 at the quarter breaks.

Audrey Bean led Piqua with nine points and Abby Lambert scored seven points in the fourth quarter.

Bethel 59,

Riverside 20

BRANDT — The Bethel girls basketball team cruised to a TRC win at home Monday.

Bethel improved to 16-4 overall and 13-0 in the TRC.

The Bees will play at Troy Christian Thursday.

Bethel led 19-6, 34-8 and 49-10 at the quarter breaks.

Karley Moore scored 23 points to lead the Bees.

Kerigan Calhoun scored nine points and Zoie Drummond hit three 3-pointers for nine points.

Rhyan Reittinger added eight points.

Tippecanoe 41,

Troy 37

TIPP CITY — In a battle to the end, the Tippecanoe girls basketball team came away with a 41-37 win over Troy Saturday at Tippecanoe High School.

Tipp is 14-6 overall and 12-4 in the MVL, while Troy drops to 6-14 overall and 6-10 in the MVL.

Tippecanoe plays at Sidney Wednesday and Troy plays at Stebbins Wednesday.

Tipp led 7-4 after one quarter and it was tied 19-19 at halftime.

Tipp led 32-27 after three quarters and held on for the win.

Laney Cleckner had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Red Devils.

Makenzie Chinn had seven points and six steals and Maddie Moran had seven points and three assists.

Alexa Mader had eight rebounds and Samantha Wall pulled down seven.

Hannah Wildermuth had five rebounds and three steals.

Amyannah Tucker had 20 points and six rebounds for Troy.

Brynn Siler added 13 points and Kiyah Baker pulled down 10 rebounds.

Jadyn Almeida had three steals.

Greenville 47,

Piqua 20

PIQUA — The Piqua girls basketball team dropped to 2-16 overall and 2-14 in the MVL Saturday.

Piqua trailed 12-2, 22-10 and 37-16 halftime.

Aubree Carroll led Piqua with eight points.

D’Vaya Cooper pulled down six rebounds and Audrey Bean had five rebounds and blocked three shots.

Logan Spradlin had six steals and blocked two shots and Abby Brookhart had four steals.

Tri-Village 62,

Bethel 34

NEW MADISON — The Bethel girls basketball team found the going tough on the road Saturday night.

The Bees trailed 19-7, 38-16 and 55-29 at the quarter breaks.

Newton 45,

Lehman 20

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton girls basketball team got a home win in non-conference action Saturday.

Newton plays at Arcanum Thursday and Lehman Catholic hosts Northridge Thursday.

The Indians turned it around with a big third quarter.

Newton led 6-5 after one quarter, but Lehman Catholic took a 14-9 halftime lead.

Newton outscored them 18-0 in the third quarter to go up 27-14.

Reese Hess scored 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Indians and Felicity Harbour added nine points and five rebounds.

Brooke Hines scored five points and Rylee Hess had five points and four steals.

Brilie Hines had four assists and three steals. S
