LIMA — The Miami East wrestling team finished second the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbird Invitational, while Troy Christian was fourth and Covingotn was 12th.

Legacy Christian won with 203 points and East had 173.5.

Troy Christian had 139 and Covington had 108.

MIAMI EAST

The Vikings were led by Cooper Shore (120), who ran his record to 35-0 on the season.

Shore went 5-0, with three pins and a tech fall to take the 120-pound title.

Dustin Winner (285) finished third.

Winner went 4-1 with three pins.

Gabe Cole (113) finished fifth, going 4-2 with two pins.

Taking sixth were Daniel Martin (150) and Hunter Randall (165).

Martin went 4-3 with two pins and Randall went 4-3 with four pins.

Taking seventh were Braden Lewis (106) and Aaron Mills (144).

Lewis was 3-2 with one pin and Mills was 3-2 with two pins.

TROY CHRISTIAN

The Eagles had three champions.

Kyle Schroer (106), Connor Havill (175) and Lee Burkett (190) all won.

Schroer was 4-0 with three pins, Havill was 4-0 with one pin and Burkett was 5-0 with three pins.

Jason Shaffer (126) took second, going 3-1 with three pins.

COVINGTON

The Buccs were led by Carson Taylor (106), who finished second.

He was 3-1 with two pins and a tech fall.

Taking third was Jericho Quinter (126), who was 4-1 with two pins and a tech fall.

Michael Hagen (120) was fifth, going 3-2 with three pins.

Chase Vanderhorst (132) advanced to the semifinals with three pins, but was injured in his quarter final match and had to injury default out of the tournament, finishing sixth.

Caleb Ryman (138) finished seventh, going 4-2.

EATON — The Milton-Union wrestling team finished second at the Sam Ridder Invitational, while Piqua took fourth and Tippecanoe was 14th.

MILTON-UNION

The Bulldogs had four champions.

Payton Mayfield (126), Nathan Barker (157), Trey Kiser (175) and Colten Hultgren (190) all won.

Mayfield was 4-0 with four pins, Barker and Kiser were both 4-0 with two pins and Hultgren was 3-0 with three pins.

Ian Coffey (165) was third, going 5-1 with three pins.

PIQUA

Max Kaye (138) led the Indians, taking second.

Kaye was 3-1 with a pin and a tech fall.

Taking third were Dylan Johnston (106), Gavin Nelson (132) and Landen Martin (190).

Johnston was 4-1 with three pins, Neslon was 4-1 with one pin and one tech fall and Martin was 5-1 with four pins.

Brady Mikolajewski (126) took fourth, going 4-2 with twp pins and a tech fall.

TIPPECANOE

Trent Thompson (120) led the Red Devils, taking second.

He was 3-1 with two pins.

Collin Isaac (138) was third, going 4-1 with three pins.

Riley Hull (106) was fifth, going 3-2 with one pin.
