Smith scores 30 points in Tippecanoe girls win

TIPP CITY — Kenna Smith had a career game as the Tippecanoe girls basketball team improved to 17-0 with a 65-31 win over Stebbins Monday night in MVL action.

Smith scored 30 points, hitting 11 of 20 shots from the floor including eight of 15 from 3-point range.

She added three assists.

Hannah Wildermuth had eight points and five rebounds, Alexa Mader scored seven points and Katie Hemmelgarn had six points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots.

Rachel Wildermuth had six points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals, while Corinn Siefring also had three assists.

Ashley Aselage had six rebounds and three steals and Maddie Moran had three steals.

Tipp led 13-5, 26-19 and 43-24 at the quarter breaks.

The Red Devils will play at Butler Wednesday night and host Sidney Friday night.

VANDALIA — Troy Christian girls gave Butler a battle Monday night before losing 34-27.

Butler led 7-6, 21-13 and 30-20 at the quarter breaks.
