TROY — Doug and Eva (Hewitt) Trostle recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in March with a family vacation in Cape Coral, Fla.

Being high school sweethearts, Doug and Eva exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 18, 1971, in the United Methodist Church in Troy.

Joining them in Cape Coral were their sons, Heath, daughter-in-law Dawn and granddaughters Addy and Kensie; along with Nicholas, daughter-in-law Mandy and grandsons Ryan and Aiden.

Eva is retired after a 40-year career in business and education while Doug is a regional sales manager for CSV Marketing and serves on the Troy City Board of Education.
