Feb. 11

SEX OFFENSE: An officer was notified by the Troy Junior High School principal that an inappropriate photograph of a student was being shared at school. Investigation is pending.

THEFT: A theft was reported at Walmart at 1:29 p.m. Richard J. Walker, Sr., 50, address unknown, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

THEFT: A theft was reported at Lowes at 3 p.m.

TRAFFIC: A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of East Main and Oak streets at 4:04 p.m. A male was cited for a stop sign violation.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and cited the driver for expired plates on the 1700 block of West Main Street at 4:20 p.m.

UNRULY: An officer was dispatched to an unruly juvenile complaint, and a report was completed.

TRAFFIC: A traffic stop resulted in a summons being issued to a driver for possession of marijuana at Saratoga Drive and Michael Drive at 6:45 p.m.

THEFT: Officers were dispatched to a theft complaint at La Catrina, 845 W. Market St., at 8:27 p.m. Officers are investigating.

Feb. 12

TRAFFIC: A traffic stop was made in the area on West Main Street and Norwich at 12:08 a.m. A citation was issued.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped and cited a driver for having expired registration on South Market Street at Race Street at 12:28 a.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped and cited a driver for having expired registration on Water Street at Cherry Street at 12:48 a.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A report was taken at Applebee’s, 1759 W. Main St., on a damaged vehicle at 1 a.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped and cited a driver for having expired registration on West Main Street near Adams Street at 5:22 a.m.

TRAFFIC: A subject received a traffic citation at the area of McKaig Avenue and Crescent Drive at 9:43 a.m.

TRAFFIC: A subject received a traffic citation at Adams Street and Riverside Drive at 11 a.m.

TRAFFIC: A driver was issued a citation for traffic control devices at Market and Race streets at 11:26 a.m.

THEFT: Subject stopped at Meijer by loss prevention for shoplifting at the store. Subject was advised he would be summons for theft and released from the scene. Jeffery A. Tubbs, 61, of Troy, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

ACCIDENT: Private property accident reported at Petco, 1893 W. Main St., at 3:23 p.m.

PEDESTRIAN CONTACT: An officer stopped a pedestrian and issued him a court summons for a warrant on the 600 block of West Main Street at 4 p.m.

THEFT: A theft was reported at Walmart between 3:30-4 p.m.

DISORDERLY: A male was located and issued a court summons for disorderly conduct at Franklin and Mulberry streets at 7:52 p.m. Nicholas C. Harmon, 31, of Monroe Township, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.

Feb. 13

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a driver for a registration and moving violations at State Route 55 and State Route 202 at 12:23 a.m. The driver admitted to texting while driving in regard to the moving violations, and she was cited for that offense on Staunton Road near Skylark Drive.

OPEN CONTAINER: An officer stopped and cited an intoxicated pedestrian for carrying an opened container of an alcoholic beverage while walking on the sidewalk along West Main Street near Plum Street at 1:53 a.m.

ACCIDENT: A vehicle crash was reported on South Dorset Road near Windridge Place where a driver struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle at 2:08 a.m. The driver was arrested for OVI. Additional criminal evidence was located, and the driver consented to a blood draw for his first-offense-suspected OVI. Charges pending laboratory results.

TRAFFIC: A speed citation was issued at East Main and North Walnut streets at 7:51 a.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration at South Market and East Simpson streets at 8:57 a.m. Citation was issued.

HARASSMENT: An officer responded to 700 block of North Dorset Road on a report of a telecommunication harassment at 9:53 a.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for stop sign violation at South Ridge and McKaig avenues at 10:50 a.m. A citation was issued for expired plates.

ACCIDENT: A hit skip accident was reported on the 1300 block of Sussex Road at 10:57 a.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration on the West Market Street overpass at 12:35 p.m. Citation was issued.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for expired plates since April 16, 2020 on the 100 block of North Market Street at 12:57 p.m. Citation was issued.

TRAFFIC: A citation was issued for speed at South Ridge Avenue and Olive Street at 12:57 p.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and arrested the female on a warrant at Kroger at 5:01 p.m.

Feb. 14

ACCIDENT: A hit skip accident was reported on the 900 block of East Staunton Road at 6:17 a.m.

TRAFFIC: Officer stopped a vehicle for speed on the 100 block of Dorset Road at 10:40 a.m. Citation issued.

TRAFFIC: Speed violation and citation issued at Trade Square and North Road at 11:27 a.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Market Street near Arthur Road and issued the driver citations at 1:19 p.m. Vehicle was towed.

TRAFFIC: A vehicle was stopped for speed and the driver was cited on North Ridge Avenue and West Main Street at 3:05 p.m.

TRAFFIC: A traffic stop was initiated for speed, a citation was issued, and a report was completed at Adams Street and Foss Way at 3:16 p.m.

TRAFFIC: A vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver was cited on Trade Road at 3:38 p.m.

BURGLARY: Police was dispatched to the 1000 block of McKaig Avenue for a theft complaint at 4:05 p.m. An adult male was later located and charged with burglary and theft. Report was completed. Thomas H. Jasinski, 54, of Troy, was charged with second-degree felony burglary and first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

TRAFFIC: A vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver cited on Trade Square and Chelsea Road at 4:16 p.m.

TRAFFIC: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and issued a court summons for the passenger for open container on the 1300 block of Archer Drive at 4:16 p.m.

UNRULY: An officer was dispatched to an unruly complaint and one child was charged for unruly juvenile at 4:41 p.m.

Feb. 15

DISTURBANCE: Officers responded to Comfort Suites located at 1800 Towne Park Drive regarding a disturbance in progress at 3:46 a.m. Involved subjects left prior to arrival. Report taken.
