TROY — The Troy girls soccer team lost to Vandalia-Butler 3-1 Tuesday at Troy Memorial Stadium in D-I sectional action.

The Trojans finished the season with a 9-7-1 record.

Leah Harnish had the Troy goal on an assist from Kendra Kovacs.

Astryd Littlejohn had 13 saves in goal.

Maddie Budding had two goals for Vandalia and Norah Neely added one.

Brooklynn Bollander had an assist and Madalyn Hanks had three saves in goal.

Fairmont 11,

Piqua o

KETTERING — The Piqua girls soccer team got shutout in D-I sectional action.

Piqua finishes the season with a 4-13-1 record.

D-II

Tippecanoe 9,

TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe girls soccer team advanced in D-II sectional action at Tipp City Park.

Tipp, 17-2-1 and the top seed, will host 11th seed Greenville at 7 p.m. Saturday in second round action.

Chelsea Dettwiller and Sam Wall had two goals each for the Red Devils.

Makenzie Chinn and Alex Foster each had one goal and two assists.

Maddie Moran had one goal and one assist and Laney Cleckner and Biz Stallard had one goal each.

Kendall Davis, Kaylynn Schultz and Kaylee Dennison each had one assist.

Leah and Georgia Adkins combined for the shutout in goal, with each making two saves.

D-III

Milton-Union 2,

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union girls soccer team opened D-III sectional play with a win at home Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs, 7-6-5 and the 12th seed, will host Newton at 7 p.m. Saturday in second round action.

Ava Berberich and Rachel Jacobs had one goal each for Milton-Union.

Keara McKenna and Lillie Warner had one assist each.

Miami East 9,

CASSTOWN — The Miami East girls soccer team opened D-III sectional play with a big offensive performance.

The Vikings, 14-3 and the third seed, will host 24th seed National Trail at 1 p.m. Saturday.

TIPP CITY — The Bethel girls soccer team opened D-III sectional play with a shutout at home.

The Bees, 13-4-1 and the fifth seed, will play at fourth seed Lehman Catholic at 3 p.m. Saturday.
