Upper Valley Career Center to honor graduates

PIQUA — Upper Valley Career Center will honor the Class of 2024 during convocation ceremonies Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Hobart Arena, Troy.

There are 470 students who will graduate from Upper Valley Career Center from its satellite schools.

During the ceremony, Upper Valley Career Center will recognize two local businesses for their continued support of UVCC and its students. The Award of Appreciation will be presented to the Council on Rural Services and MidMark Corp.

Speakers will be Bill Ankney, Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education president.

Eva Goubeaux will represent the Class of 2024 with delivery of the Senior Address. Goubeaux is a welding student who has maintained a 4.0 gpa throughout her time at Russia High School and the UVCC. During her senior year, Goubeaux served in an apprenticeship with MidMark Corporation and was part of the UVCC Germany/American Exchange program. She is one of eight UVCC Top Scholar nominees and remained active in sports at Russia High School.
