Voters in Piqua, Concord Township approve Sunday liquor sales

TROY — Voters in Troy’s Concord East precinct and Piqua’s 1C/E precinct approved local ballot options for the sale of wine, mixed beverages and spirituous liquor on Sundays.

Results for both precincts are unofficial; official results will be certified by the Miami County Board of Elections on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022.

Voters passed the local liquor option for the Concord East precinct by a vote of 319 for and 79 against. The local liquor option for Piqua’s 1C/E precinct was passed by a vote of 192 for and 89 against.

In the Concord East precinct, the liquor option was placed on the ballot by the owners of Longshots Driving Range located at 2315 South County Road 25A in Concord Township. Longshots has been in business as a driving range at that location since 2018, and already sold beer wine and mixed drinks Monday through Saturday.

In Piqua’s 1C/E precinct, the liquor option was placed on the ballot by the owners of Godine Drive-Thru located at 608 Weber Street. The drive through has been in business on Weber Street since 2017, and will now be able to open seven days a week including Sundays.
