TROY — The Troy softball team won a slugfest with Tippecanoe 14-11 Wednesday.

The two teams will play again Friday at Tippecanoe.

Abby Seger was 2-for-4 for Troy, Alexis Ater was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, Madison Wright was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs and Kaitlynn Price had two RBIs.

Olivia Setser was 2-for-4 with four RBIs and Sophia Knife had two RBIs.

Knife and Riley King struck out six and walked one.

Charlize McCormick and Kyla Fry were 2-for-5 for Tippecanoe.

Gracie Raiff was 3-for-5 with three RBIs, Jaina Drum was 2-for-4 and Abby Chaney was 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Drum and Rylan Elms combined to strikeout three and walk five.

Greenville 10,

Piqua 0

GREENVILLE — The Piqua softball team suffered its first loss in MVL play Wednesday.

Taylan Swartz and Sam Clark both had one single for Piqua.

Dylan Weatherly and Julia Coppess combined on a 10-hitter, striking out two and walking four.

Newton 13,

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton softball team got a win at home Wednesday.

Mya Denlinger had a double and five RBIs and Vivien Clark had a double.

Layla Van Culin pitched a no-hitter, striking out 13 and walking two.

Bradford 13

BRADFORD — The Bradford softball team lost a high scoring game Wednesday.

Alani Canan had a huge game for the Railroaders, going 6-for-6 with a double and driving in five runs.

Vivian Harleman was 2-for-3 with a double and Chloe Hockery was 2-for-5 with a double and four RBIs.

Tegan Canan had two RBIs, Kendal Weldy was 2-for-2 and Kennedi Richards had a double.

Harleman, Tegan Canan and Casey Bolin combined to strikeout three and walk two.
