TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe boys basketball team were going for a share of the MVL title with a win at Greenville Monday night.

Tipp, 16-4 overall and 15-2 in the MVL, defeated Piqua 78-57 Saturday night.

Piqua closed the regular season at 13-9 overall and 12-6 in the MVL.

The Indians will play Tecumseh in Vandalia D-I sectional action at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Stanley Clyne had 34 points and six rebounds for Tipp.

Liam Poronsky had 10 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists and five steals and Cole Coppock had nine points and six rebounds.

Gavin Garlitz had seven points and four assists, Jackson Smith had three steals and three blocked shots and Luke Hoover blocked three shots.

Anson Cox had 14 points and nine rebounds for Piqua.

Josh Crusey had 13 points and seven rebounds and Tanner Kemp scored 10 points.

Dre’Sean Roberts had nine points and three steals and Bryson Roberts had seven points, five assists and seven rebounds.

Lehman 52,

Troy Christian 41

SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic boys basketball team played spoiler in TRC action Saturday night.

Troy Christian closed the season at 18-4 overall and 11-3 in the TRC.

The Eagles and Milton-Union have a share of the title and Miami East was looking to gain a share of the title with a win over Lehman Monday night.

Lehman and Troy Christian will meet again Friday in Piqua D-IV sectional action at 7 p.m.

Lehman is 13-8 overall and 8-7 in the TRC.

Christian Brusman led Troy Christian with 12 points.

Alex Free had seven points, 10 rebounds and four steals and Chase Dohme and Parker Penrod both scored seven points.

Michael McFarland had 13 points for Lehman and A’Zon Steele had 12 points and four assists.

Justin Chapman had 10 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots, Donovan O’Leary had nine rebounds and five assists and Dylan Geise had three steals.

Miami East 75,

Fairlawn 38

SIDNEY — The Miami East boys basketball team improved to 14-6 with a road win Saturday night.

Eastwas going for a share of the TRC title with a win over Lehman Catholic Monday night.

Wes Enis led Miami East with 23 points and Jacob Roeth added 12 points, nine assists and three steals.

Connor Apple had eight points and five rebounds and Devon Abshire had seven points and five rebounds.

Mitchel Kemp and Bryce Haught both scored seven points and Matthew Van Pelt had six points.

Camren Monnin had four steals.

Bradford 80,

WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Bradford boys basketball team improved to 13-7 overall and 8-3 in the WOAC.

Bradford will open Piqua D-IV sectional action at 7 p.m. Saturday against Newton.

Parker Davidson had 32 points, 11 rebounds and three steals.

Hudson Hill had 14 points and Landon Monnin had 10 points and three steals.

Landon Wills had nine points and 10 rebounds, Zage Harelman had eight points and three blocked shots and Owen Canan had seven points and eight assists.

Fort Recovery 67,

Newton 48

FORT RECOVERY — The Newton boys basketball team dropped to 11-10 on the season.

Chandler Peters led Newton with 27 points.

Harold Oburn added nine points, three blocked shots and eight rebounds and Harold Montgomery scored eight points.

Quentin Smith grabbed five rebounds.

Newton will open Piqua D-IV sectional play Saturday at 7 p.m. against Bradford.

Butler 37

TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe boys basketball team picked up a home win in MVL action.

Gavin Garlitz scored 14 points and Stanley Clyne added 11 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots.

Liam Poronsky had 10 points and four steals and Evan Manes and Cole Coppock scored eight points each.

Luke Hoover had five rebounds, Jackson Smith had four assists and Griffin Caldwell added four steals.

Troy Christian 56,

Bethel 48

BRANDT — The Troy Christian boys basketball team picked up a road win Friday night.

Lucas Day led Troy Christian with 17 points.

Ben Major had 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals and Parker Penrod had 10 points, six rebounds, eight assists and three steals.

Alex Free had eight points and seven rebounds and Chase Dohme scored eight points.

Miami East 58,

Covington 28

COVINGTON — The Miami East boys basketball team picked up a road win Friday night.

Wes Enis had 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Jacob Roeth added 20 points, five rebouonds, six assists and eight steals and Devon Abshire had 11 rebounds.

Mitchel Kemp pulled down eight rebounds.

Garrett Fraley had eight points for Covington and Cam Kirker added seven points.

Owen Boehringer had seven rebounds and four assists and Tyler Alexander had five rebounds.

Milton-Union 60,

Riverside 60

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union boys basketball team grabbed a share of the TRC title with the win.

Milton-Union, 18-4 overall and 11-3 in the TRC, opens D-II sectional play against Waynesville at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trent Arena.

Blake Brumbaugh had 19 points, four assists and three steals and Cooper Brown had 15 points and six rebounds.

Ray Copeland had eight points and six rebounds and Landon Bechtel had eight points and six assists.

Nathan Thompson scored eight points and Carson Brown had four assists.

Lehman 57,

Northridge 53

DAYTON — Lehman picked up a TRC win Friday night.

Justin Chapman had 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Donovan O’Leary had 14 points, three steals and five assists and A’Zon Steele scored 14 points and had three steals.

Michael McFarland added 12 points.

Bradford 80,

Newton 69

PLEASANT HILL — The Bradford boys basketball team got a road win in WOAC action Friday night.

Parker Davidson had 31 points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Railroaders.

Owen Canan had 14 points, Landon Monnin had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals and Hudson Hill had 10 points and six reboounds.

Landon Wills grabbed nine rebounds and Zage Harleman pulled down seven rebounds.

Chandler Peters had 20 points, four assists and three steals for Newton.

Harold Oburn had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Quentin Smith had 13 points and six rebounds.

Hudson Montgomery scored 11 points and Clark Yoder added six points.

Quinn Peters grabbed six rebounds.
