MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA has a new way to help you train for a triathlon. Starting Feb. 1, members and nonmembers can log their miles completed each day in the areas of running, biking, or swimming. Logs can be found at the courtesy desks at both Miami County YMCA locations. This is free event for all. Any miles completed on the Expresso bikes at the Miami County YMCAs will also earn a ten cent donation for the Y with each mile during the month of February. Simply register for an account on the Expresso bike and log on each time you ride. It’s that easy to raise money for the Y while you ride! A prize will be awarded to the person that earns the most miles in the Train for a Tri event.

“We hope our Train for a Tri event will encourage members and nonmembers to join us for our indoor triathlon event in March. It’s a great event for those competing in their first or hundredth triathlon,” said Sierra Woodyard, Health and Wellness director for the Miami County YMCA Robinson Branch.

The Robinson Branch’s 2022 Indoor Triathlon will be held on March 19. Registration for the Indoor Triathlon starts Feb. 9. The Indoor Triathlon cost is $30 for members and $45 for nonmembers. For further questions and information, contact Sierra Woodyard at (937) 440-9622 or [email protected].
