D&S Construction stays ahead of challenges

SIDNEY — 2022 was a great year for D&S Construction thanks to the groundwork the company had done previously.

“With the introduction of our design first model, in house design team, and show room we were able to stay ahead of the challenges all of us builders face such as supply chain and minimizing customer driven changes among others,” said President Sean Rank.

His report continues:

With the challenges in the economy and interest rate increases we saw an opportunity to go back to our roots and add to our organization to better support our small projects such as roofing, kitchens, bathrooms, and other repairs. There has always been a need for this work in our area. We decided to add another estimator/project coordinator to focus specifically on these projects. We also added another project coordinator to assist in the production of these projects. We’re very excited to bring our quality and small company mentally back to this market.

For the third year in a row D&S Construction had a home in Sidney to represent us in the Western Ohio Home Builders Association Parade of Home. We saw a great turnout as always and want to continue to grow this with other builders.

We all have seen the growth of our downtown. We’re happy to be a part of that in 2022 with the remodeling of the Purity building next to the Ohio Building. This project involved creating 7 higher end apartments for our client. Tenants will soon be moving into this building and we’re beyond excited to be a part of the downtown movement.

I was also appointed president of The Western Ohio Home Builders Association. I am committed to supporting all of our existing builders, remodelers, and associates in Miami county as well as continue to grow in Shelby, Darke and Clark County. We have a lot of great young people in our industry, and they need to know what our association does on the local, state, and national level to support us all.

We expect another great year of designing, remodeling, and building for 2023. Thanks to our employees for always giving your best and making us who we are as well as the community for continuing to support us.
