Grand jury hands up indictments

TROY —The Miami County grand jury issued indictments for pandering sexually-oriented materials involving a minor, endangering children, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, among other charges, on Wednesday, April 19.

• Matthew A. Blevins, 33, of Fletcher, was indicted on four counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor, a second-degree felony.

According to the indictment from the Common Pleas Court of Miami County, on or about Jan. 12, 2023, Blevins allegedly “did, with knowledge of the character of the material or performance involved, create, record, photograph, film, develop, reproduce, or publish material that shows a minor participating or engaging in sexual activity …”

• Cody A.M. Smith, 30, of Saint Henry, was indicted on one count of endangering children, a second-degree felony; one count of illegal use of minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, a second-degree felony; and, one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony, for sexual conduct with a person under the age of 16.

According to the indictment from the Common Pleas Court of Miami County, Smith’s actions allegedly occurred on or about April 13, 2023.
