Road closures set

MIAMI COUNTY — Statler Road will be closed between Union-Shelby and Casstown-Sidney starting April 25 through April 28 for a culvert replacement. The culvert is 50 feet west of the intersection at Casstown-Sidney.

Piqua-Troy Road will be closed between Rusk and Peterson Road starting April 25 through April 28 for a culvert replacement. The culvert is 1650 feet south of the intersection at Peterson Road.

J.R. Clarke offers homeschooling event

COVINGTON — J. R. Clarke Public Library, located at 102 E. Spring St. in Covington, on Thursday, April 28, will hold a Homeschooling Parent’s Sharing Event at 10:30 a.m. Parents who attended the Great Homeschooling Convention in Cincinnati are welcome to come and share some of the exciting ideas they have seen and heard about. There is no way that everyone can make every session of the Homeschooling Convention, so J.R. Clarke is taking time and providing an opportunity for parents to share with one another the “highlights” of the convention. Come on up to the JR Clarke Alcove! Childcare will be provided free for the parents.

Basic Digital Photography at Troy-Miami County Public Library

TROY — Jointhe Troy-Miami County Public Library on Saturday, April 30, for a Basic Digital Photography class for adults. Photography teacher, John Sheehan, from the University of Dayton Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, will offer instruction and hands-on learning at the library. Bring your favorite device, including cameras, phones, or tablets, and the instruction manual if available. They will meet and then venture outdoors to photograph. Class will run from 9:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. and include a one-hour break at lunchtime. Registration is required and available online at www.tmcpl.org/content/basic-digital-photography.
