Troy Board of Education Meeting

The Troy Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8 at the Troy Board of Education conference room. The meeting is open to the public.

Miami County Community Action Council meeting

The Miami County Community Action Council will be holding the next board meeting on Thursday, Aug. 11 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Miami County CAC office located at 1695 Troy-Sidney Road, Troy. The meeting is open to the public.

Fridays on Prouty Concert Series Hosts Berachah Valley Bluegrass Band

At 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12, the Troy Hayner Cultural Center will host their Fridays on Prouty Concert Series with Berachah Valley Bluegrass Band as the musical performers for the night. The performers will share the variety show and movie with the community. Following the performance, the “Mayberry Man” movie will begin at 9 p.m. Reservations for the event are not required as seats are first come, first served. A lawn chair is suggested.

Fort Rowdy Gathering Weekly Meetings: Covington

The Fort Rowdy Gathering will begin having weekly committee meetings every Sunday in August, beginning Sunday, Aug. 7. The meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the J.R. Clarke Public Library located at 102 E. Spring St. All meetings will be open to the public and will be used to prepare for the 30th Fort Rowdy Gathering, which will be held on Labor Day weekend.

Tipp City American Legion Post 586 Meals:

Starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, the Post will be serving a tenderloin sandwich and chips for $5 until gone.

From 8 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, they will be serving their weekly Sunday breakfast for $9 which includes eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, toast, coffee, and juices.

On Monday, Aug. 15 starting at 6 p.m., the Post will have their fried shrimp and french fry platter for $6.

The Legion Post is located at 377 N. Third St. with parking available behind the building. All meals are open to the public.

Pony Wagon Historical Museum

The Pony Wagon Historical Museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14. The museum is located at 510 Washington St., St. Paris. The museum is open the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

Elizabeth Township School Reunion

From 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 11, the Elizabeth Township Historical Society is hosting a reunion for all friends of the Elizabeth School. The reunion will be held at the Elizabeth Township Community Center. Attendees are being asked to bring a snack or dessert. There will be ice cream and beverages provided.
