• Repa Corp, 31 Industry Park Ct., Tipp City: Standard Inspection.

RFE license not posted in the facility.

Comments: Automatic-shutoff mechanism observed working on machine. Temp 39.0 F.

• Troy Food Mart Inc., 201 Staunton Rd., Troy: Standard Inspection.

Critical: PIC unable to demonstrate knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing. PIC stated that soda nozzles are cleaned every 2 weeks. Beverage dispensing nozzles shall be cleaned every 24 hours.

Critical: PIC unable to demonstrate knowledge by having no critical violations. Discussed proper food safety procedures with the Person-In-Charge (PIC) to mitigate future critical violations.

Critical: Employees are not informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report information about their health. A health policy was given to the PIC at the time of inspection.

No written procedures for responding to vomiting or diarrheal events. A procedure was given to the PIC at the time of inspection.

Corrected during inspection: Handwashing sign(s) not posted.

Corrected during inspection; critical; repeat: Food not properly protected from contamination by separation, packaging, and segregation. Observed raw shell eggs stored above milk in the reach-in cooler. Upon informing PIC, the eggs were moved below the milk.

Corrected during inspection; critical: Equipment food-contact surfaces or utensils are unclean. At the time of inspection, observed the soda nozzles with a mold-like accumulation. Upon informing the PIC, the soda nozzles were removed and placed in the 3-compartment sink for cleaning.

Repeat: No sanitizer test kit available. Attain the proper test strips.

Corrected during inspection; critical: Insufficient air gap between the flood rim and the water supply inlet. Observed an insufficient air gap for the 3-bay at the time of inspection. After informing the PIC, an adequate air gap was implemented.

Water treatment device or backflow preventer not inspected/serviced with documentation as required. Observed the backflow with a tag indicating last service was 9/2019.

Repeat; RFE does not comply with Level One Certification requirements. Attain the proper training.

Comments: Ensure test strips are being used while preparing the 3-compartment sink for use.

• Kountry Kruise Thru, 7235 U.S. RT 36, Fletcher: Standard Inspection.

Non-food contact surface(s) not cleaned at the required frequency. 1. The interior surfaces of the ice cream freezer had an ice accumulation and dead bugs were observed in the bottom of this unit. 2. Inside of the retail reach-in cooler doors (bottom interior surfaces). 3. The walk-in cooler walls. Enhance the clean frequency of these non-food contact areas to prevent such accumulations

No violations were documented at the time of inspection.

The following violation(s) have been corrected since the last inspection:

Repairing – Physical facilities not maintained in good repair. At time of inspection, the walk in drink cooler was observed holding at 45F.

Comments: A follow up was done to inspect the walk in cooler after repairs were made. At time of inspection, the walk in was holding below 41F. Several items were observed cold holding below 41F in the walk in cooler. Discussed with person in charge that the walk in cooler can now be used to store TCS foods.

• Trophy Nut Store, 320 N. Second St., Tipp City: Standard Inspection.

Corrected during inspection; critical: Handwashing sink is being used for purposes other than handwashing. Observed dawn dish soap and scratch pads at the hand-sink in the front retail area. Upon informing the PIC, the dish soap and scratch pads were voluntarily removed; hand-sinks are to be used for hand-washing only.

Improper disposal of condensation and other non-sewage liquids. Observed a condensate line running to the hand-sink in the front retail area. Direct the line to an approved disposal source.

Unnecessary or nonfunctional items on premises. Observed an unused popcorn machine in the front retail area. PIC stated it has not been used in many years. Remove from the premises.

Comments: Overall, the facility was well maintained and clean. Remember to use the hand-sinks for hand-washing only.

• Overfield Early Childhood Program, 172 S. Ridge Ave., Troy: Standard Inspection.

Critical: PIC unable to demonstrate knowledge by having no critical violations. Discussed proper food safety procedures with the PIC to mitigate future critical violations.

Corrected during inspection; critical: Food not properly protected from contamination by separation, packaging, and segregation. Observed raw shell eggs stored directly next to RTE foods in the reach-in cooler. Upon informing the PIC, the eggs were voluntarily removed.

Corrected during inspection; critical: Raw shell eggs not maintained at 45° F or below. Observed raw shell eggs stored at 49F. Upon informing the PIC, the raw shell eggs were voluntarily discarded.

Equipment components are not intact, tight or properly adjusted. Observed the reach-in cooler thermometer displaying a temperature of 55F when the ambient air temperature was 41F. Repair the in-unit thermometer so that it accurately displays the ambient air temperature.

Comments: At the time of inspection, the facility was very clean and well maintained throughout.

Ensure that staff foods are kept away from food product to be used in the facility and that you are regularly checking temperatures to maintain cold foods below 41F.

Discussed with the PIC proper procedure for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing in the event that their dish machine were to malfunction.

• Storypoint Of Troy – Coffee Bar, 1840 Towne Park Dr., Troy: Standard Inspection.

Cleaning agents not available in the FSO. Upon informing the person in charge, a bottle of soap from the main kitchen was moved to the 3 bay sink in the coffee bar.
