Dec. 19

ASSIST AGENCY: Deputies were dispatched in reference to a vehicle leaving the scene of a shots fire complaint in Darke County. Deputies located the vehicle and detained the suspect, as well as the vehicle, at or near Meijer in Troy at 4:23 p.m. Both were turned over to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

ASSAULT: A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Redbud Drive and Lilac Lane in Monroe Township between 9:50-10 p.m. At the conclusion of this investigation, Austin Barney was incarcerated for assault and aggravated menacing. This case is closed at this time.

ACCIDENT: An accident with no injuries was reported at 10:10 p.m. on the 7700 block of West State Route 185 in Newberry Township.

Dec. 20

ACCIDENT: An accident with injuries was reported at 7:18 a.m. on the 5300 block of North Washington Road in Washington Township.

THEFT: A deputy responded to the 1300 block of Washington Road in Concord Township in reference to a theft complaint at 8:34 a.m. The reporting party advised the company’s enclosed trailer was broken into over the weekend and multiple tools were taken. The list of tools will be added to the report when the reporting party provides a list of all items that were taken. This case is pending further investigation.

THEFT: While working in the village of Bradford, a deputy was notified by a village employee that an arch welder was missing from the village garage at 9:20 a.m. No suspects or leads at this time.

ACCIDENT: An accident with injuries was reported at 3:26 p.m. in the area of Washington and Farrington roads in Washington Township.

CIVIL MATTER: A deputy spoke with a complainant in reference to trash removal that was being done by a company on the 700 block of Shoop Road in Monroe Township. It was determined the company had not picked up the complainant’s trash in over four weeks. It was advised that $51 had been paid to the company for services that were not completed. The complainant has since been unable to contact anyone with the company about the matter. This case is pending.

MENACING: Two individuals reported being threatened by a known suspect in Elizabeth Township at 4:51 p.m. This will be pending further investigation.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to a theft complaint in reference the complainant’s hunting trail camera and hunting blind being stolen on the 1200 block of Eldean Road in Concord Township sometime between 4:20 p.m. Dec. 19 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 20.

CIVIL MATTER: A deputy responded to an assist citizen complaint in the area of 3200 Piqua-Troy Road in Staunton Township at 5:20 p.m. The complainant advised purchasing a used 2002 Chevrolet Suburban from one of the residents on Facebook Marketplace for $1,300 dollars. When the subjects left, the vehicle began to overheat and had to be parked nearby. It was determined the complainant wanted his money back from the seller. The complainant was issued a case number for his records and how to address the matter further.

ACCIDENT: An accident with no injuries was reported on the 2600 block of East State Route 41 in Staunton Township at 6:47 p.m.

ACCIDENT: An accident with no injuries was reported in the area of Monroe Concord Road and Peters Road in Concord Township at 6:48 p.m.

UNRULY: Deputies responded to the 100 block of North Miami Avenue in Bradford to assist the Troy, North Carolina Police Department. Two male juveniles who were missing from their jurisdiction were reported to be broken down in the area. The juveniles were located and taken into custody for receiving stolen property. They were incarcerated at the juvenile detention center.
