WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union football team rolled to a 42-7 win over Preble Shawnee Friday night in a D-V, Region 20 second-round playoff game.
The Bulldogs, 12-0, will now play 11-1 Brookville Friday at 7 p.m. at Doug Adams Stadium in Xenia.
Milton-Union took advantage of an early turnover and never looked back against Arrows.
Connor Yates picked up a fumble and ran 19 yards for the score, with Mason Grudich kicking the PAT to make it 7-0.
Milton-Union built the lead to 21-0 by halftime.
Cooper Brown caught a 12-yard TD pass from Nate Morter and Michael Elam caught an eight-yard pass from Morter. Grudich hit both PAT kicks.
Elam continued to find the end zone in the third quarter.
He had touchdown runs of 8 and 20 yards and Grudich kicked both PATs to make it 35-0 after three quarters.
After Preble Shawnee got on the board on Brayden Doran 20-yard run, Colton Schroeder kicked the PAT to make it 35-7.
Milton-Union immediately answered with Peyton Mayfield returning the ensuing kickoff 86 yards for the score.
Grudich’s kick made the final margin 42-7.
