Local music ministry to host free concert in Sidney
SIDNEY — Local music ministry Lift it Up will be hosting a free community concert on Saturday, Sept. 24. at The Historic Sidney Theatre. The concert will feature Christian rock group, Disciple. Doors to the concert open at 6:15 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. The event is free to attend but is limited to the first 600 people.
Stillwater Stargazers host telescope demonstration
TROY — Members of the Stillwater Stargazers club gathered on the square in downtown Troy on Friday, Sept. 2, setting up telescopes and high-powered binoculars for a public demonstration.

DAYTON — Saturday, Sept. 3, is International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD). IVAD was created to raise awareness about the most endangered group of birds in the world. According to experts, nearly 75% of the 23 African vulture species are spiraling towards extinction due to poaching, electrocution and poisoning.
ODOT accepting applications for bridge program
COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced today the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is now accepting applications for funding as part of the local major bridge program, which provides federal funds to counties and municipalities for bridge replacement, bridge rehabilitation and bridge demolition projects.
