TROY — Residents of Bethel and Washington Townships and the village of Fletcher all gave the green light for the tax levy that appeared on their Nov. 8 ballot. All results are unofficial until they are certified by the Miami County Board of Elections on Nov. 22, 2022.

PIQUA - The YWCA in Piqua has several upcoming glass and craft classes that will make great gifts for the holiday season.

TROY — Election Day polls officially closed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. As precinct workers brought back ballots cast Tuesday to the Miami County Board of Elections, results were tabulated to see whether tax levies, local Sunday liquor options and aggregate issues were passed or defeated.

PIQUA – Dr. Doreen Larson, president of Edison State Community College, will be retiring in June 2023 after serving the college for almost seven years.

TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Council approved a resolution Monday to increase the city manager’s bi-weekly salary.

Voters cast their ballots at Romer’s Catering/A Learning Place in Piqua on Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

TROY — For the second time, Troy City Council voted to not pursue demolition of the historic Tavern Building on West Main Street.

TROY — North Cherry Street will be closed from West Main Street to West Water Street from 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17. The road will be closed to through traffic for sidewalk and roadway installation.

ELIZABETH — Knoop Road will be closed between State Route 41 and Childrens Home-Grayson Road for asphalt repairs. The road will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

NEWTON — Sugar Grove Road will be closed between State Route 48 and Rench Road for culvert replacement. The road will be closed from Tuesday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 11. The road will be closed 24 hours a day through the dates previously mentioned.
