SIDNEY — The Sidney Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community after an amputated finger was found.

TROY — The Miami County grand jury handed down multiple indictments against seven individuals for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, conspiracy, and other associated offenses involving patterns of breaking into structures, theft, and receiving stolen property, said a press release from Miami County Sheriff Dave Duchak.

Part of the Peterson Road Bridge is missing at the Great Miami River outside of Piqua; construction crews are working to rebuild the area and bridge on Thursday, Feb. 22.

PIQUA — The Lenten fish fries will continue at St. Mary Church in Piqua on Friday, March 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. Meals will be served in the cafeteria at Piqua Catholic for dine-in or carry-out.

TROY — The Troy Historic Preservation Alliance is pleased to announce its upcoming art auction, “Palette of Preservation.” The auction – a fundraiser to help support repair work at the IOOF building/old Miami County courthouse on West Main Street – brings together artistic talent, community spirit, and a shared commitment to preserve and promote Troy’s rich heritage.

PIQUA — The 69th annual Kiwanis Pancake Day event will be held on Saturday, March 2, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Upper Valley Career Center.

TROY — City cemetery staff will begin the annual spring clean-up of Riverside Cemetery and Rosehill Cemetery on Friday, March 15. All non-permanent decorations will be removed by city staff to allow raking and leaf-blowing around the two cemeteries.
