DAYTON — National Family Caregivers Month is recognized every November to honor family caregivers: To raise awareness of family caregiver issues, celebrate their efforts, provide information and education, increase support, and help to reduce feelings of isolation. The Agency offers three free caregiver activities in November:

Hayner plans open house for new Cotner-Hayner Annex

TROY — There is a new venue in Troy for youth groups and scouts to have their meetings and get-togethers. The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is offering the use of the Cotner-Hayner Annex with an Open House on Monday, Nov. 20, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Annex is located behind the Hayner at 22 N. Short St. This is an ideal place for youth group activities like crafts and games or even things that might be a little too noisy to be adjacent business meetings in the Hayner house. Local non-profit and community groups can use the rooms at no charge by making a reservation through Assistant Director, Rachael Boezi.

Tippecanoe HS students host Meet the Candidates Night

TIPP CITY — About 200 community members attended Meet the Candidates Night on Nov. 1 that was planned, organized, and executed by students enrolled in the Tippecanoe High School (THS) advanced placement government and politics class taught by Randy Sentman.

Veterans Day ceremony planned for Nov. 11

TROY — The Troy Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at Riverside Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. Mayor Robin Oda will provide brief remarks and Honors will be rendered by the Troy Memorial Honor Guard. Honors will also be rendered at Rose Hill Cemetery following those at Riverside.
