AES plans tree trimming Nov. 6-10

TROY — From Monday, Nov. 6 through Friday, Nov. 10, AES Ohio (formerly Dayton Power & Light) will be trimming tree limbs near electrical wires. This work will be performed from North Market Street to State Route 41 along both sides of the Great Miami River and in surrounding areas. Impacted locations include the City of Troy Water Treatment Plant, Miami Shores Golf Course, and the Great Miami River Recreational Trail.

City begins second round of leaf collection Nov. 6

TROY — On Monday, Nov. 6, Street Department staff will begin the second round of Troy’s annual leaf pickup program. City crews plan to make a total of three leaf collection rounds throughout the city. A map showing anticipated pickup dates by address is available on the city website at www.troyohio.gov/leaf-map.

UPS to hold hiring event for Piqua seasonal employees

New Miami County Commerce Center open for business

The new Miami County Commerce Center, located at 1506 One Stop Court — at the corner of Barnhart Road and state Route 55 — in Troy opened Monday morning, Oct. 30. The former One Stop Center was renamed the Commerce Center in August 2022. The new facility houses Miami County’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Driver’s Exam station, Title Office, Department of Development and other agencies, as well as offers drive-thru window.

APAC presents Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra
