ST. PARIS — Lakeland Golf Course will be holding a Senior Golf League again this year.

MARYSVILLE — Piqua junior Averi Wiley, Miami East sophomore Kira Cole and Tippecanoe junior Emma Hanrahan all advanced to the first OHSAA girls state wrestling tournament at Sunday’s regional tournament at Maryscille.

TROY — The Troy Christian, Miami East, Covington and Milton-Union wrestling teams combined for 12 state qualifiers and three district champions at the D-III district tournament at Hobart Arena Friday and Saturday.

BEAVERCREEK — It may have looked like a rebuilding year for the Troy girls bowling team — after losing Kayleigh McMullen, Kaylee Kalmar, Kylie Schiml and Morgan Shilt to graduation.

DAYTON — As the celebration and net cutting went on after Miami East boys basketball team’s D-III district championship win over Mariemont took place on the floor at U.D. Arena Thursday night, the Vikings were very aware of what they had accomplished with a 53-49 win over the Warriors.

BEAVERCREEK — For Troy High School junior Bryce Massingill, there is one goal Saturday at the D-I state bowling tournament at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

DAYTON — You might say practice made perfect for the Troy Christian boys basketball team — at least for a half Wednesday night at U.D. Arena in the D-IV boys district final.

A number of Miami County wrestlers advanced on to the district meet at the sectional tournaments on Saturday.
