GREENVILLE — The Troy softball team put a scare into Greenville for the second night in a row before losing 2-1 Tuesday.

SPRINGFIELD — The Troy boys tennis team opened the season with a 5-0 win over Springfield Monday.

TROY — The Troy softball team led 2-1 after four innings before losing 4-2 to Greenville in the season opener Monday at the Market Street Diamond in MVL action.

VANDALIA — The Piqua baseball team opened the season with a 1-0 win over Vandalia-Butler Monday.

COVINGTON — The Piqua softball team jumped out to an early lead against Covington Saturday in the season opener for both teams.

TROY — Despite blustery, windy conditions to open the season, Miami County boys track and field teams had some strong performances at the Troy Up and Running Invitational Saturday.

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference has named Edison State Community College sophomore Grace Shaffer (Greenville) the OCCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week and freshman Audrey Fyffe (Kenton Ridge) the OCCAC Softball Position Player of the Week for March 6–12, 2023.
