BEAVERCREEK — You wouldn’t have expected anything less from two of the top D-III boys soccer teams in the region Wednesday night in a regional semifinal at Beavercreek High School.

Three Miami County teams have advanced to regional quarterfinal action Friday night at 7 p.m. in the OHSAA playoffs.

FAIRFIELD — The Miami East volleyball team won a D-III district title Saturday at Fairfield High School.

TROY — Three Miami County runners will finish their season at the state cross country meet next Saturday at Fortress Obetz.

PIQUA — The Piqua football team opened the Division II playoffs with a romp over Stebbins 51-6.

TROY — The Troy football team had a successful season under first-year coach Troy Everhart.

XENIA — The Tippecanoe boys soccer team had its season come to a heartbreaking end in the D-II district finals at Xenia High School Thursday night.

Saturday will be a busy day for local athletes as Troy will host the regional cross country meet and D-IV district volleyball, D-III district volleyball will be played at Fairfield High School and girls district soccer finals will be played

The Troy football team will face a familiar foe Friday night when they open Division II, Region 8 playoff action by hosting Anderson at 7 p.m.

BEAVERCREEK — The Tippecanoe girls soccer team cruised to a 9-0 win over Kenton Ridge in a D-II district semifinal at Carroll High School Tuesday.
